Pick Up and Delivery Available for Most Small Engine Items
Pocatello Area Only. Due to the amount of outlying areas, it takes too much time away from the actual repairs or services being completed. The last thing we want is to have an entire day of not working on YOUR machine, just to be making deliveries.
There is an additional $30 charge for pick up and delivery service. Service depends on weather and availability.
Repair and Service of Most Small Engines That Are Not Covered Under *Warranty
Often, warranty work can lead to extended delays and added stress for customers. To streamline our services and prioritize simplicity, we have chosen to avoid that aspect of the industry. We confidently back our own work for a period of up to 30 days, depending on the nature of the repair. Moreover, if any issues arise, we encourage you to contact us, and we will gladly assist in finding a solution.

* If you have items under warranty, we recommend that you contact the provider of the warranty for resolution. We are currently not authorized to perform warranty repairs for any manufacturer.

Gimme A Brake specializes in repairing small gasoline engines, including riding mowers, push mowers, snow blowers, weed whackers, chainsaws, and more. We are skilled in diagnosing and fixing a wide range of issues across multiple platforms. Whether it's a simple tune-up or a complex repair, we've got you covered.

*Currently, we do not offer services for Side-by-Sides (SXS), snowmobiles, or watercraft. Our dedicated focus is on small engines, allowing us to better cater to the specific needs of our customers.

At Gimme A Brake we want you to be treated like a friend, not just number.
By Appointment Only Service
All service and repairs are by appointment only. We do not have door drop off or after hours service available. This helps keep the workload in balance so that we can get you in and out in a timely manner. We don't like waiting on repairs just as much as you. Contacting us via phone call or text message is the quickest way to get scheduled. We will always be honest with you and let you know up front if it's something we just can't handle.
Currently, Gimme A Brake does not keep an inventory of parts or replacement equipment. If any components require replacement, they will be ordered at the customers expense. Gimme A Brake does not markup prices on any parts, as we are not a parts reseller. Customers have the option to order or supply their own parts, and we are available to assist if there is a need in identifying the appropriate parts. It's essential to note that our guarantee solely extends to the labor and shop supplies provided by Gimme A Brake. Any warranties or guarantees offered by the parts seller will be honored through their designated reseller.

Gimme A Brake does not function as a storage facility. Unless prior arrangements have been established, any equipment not picked up within three calendar days of completion will be subject to storage fees. These fees will be charged at a rate of $15 per calendar day starting from the fourth day. In the event that equipment is left unclaimed without contact by or from the customer for more than 30 calendar days, it will be deemed abandoned property. Gimme A Brake retains the right to take necessary actions to recover any costs related to repair and storage including, but not limited to, selling/auctioning off the abandoned items. In the event that "Pick up and Delivery Service" was requested and becomes delayed by reasons outside of our control, storage fees will not be assessed to the specified equipment.
